Fjelltoppen Pilatus ligger i Luzern, Sveits. En kjent turistmagnet. Vi hadde utsikt til denne fra vårt kontorvindu da vi bodde der.

Anskaffelser i en bedrift begynner gjerne som et fantasibilde. Hvis vi…… Kunne vi… Og dermed…… Ofte er vi ikke sikre på nøyaktig hvor vi vil. Veien blir til mens man går. Men det er viktig å gå. Gjøre noe. Være underveis. Lære noe og forstå noe. Vi søker på internett. Snakker med kolleger. Går på seminarer og konferanser. Lytter til noen som har gjort noe lignende før. Sjekker med leverandører som vi stoler på og kjenner. Medier og sosiale medier  er kilder til «gode idèer og motivasjon for endring og fornying. Interne og eksterne «eksperter» blir flittig konsultert. Hva vi har gjort før og er vant til bidrar til å vanskeliggjøre nytenkning.Kanskje vi ikke er helt enige om veien videre kolleger imellom. Kollegene er vanskelige. Ledelsen er konservativ og uvitende. Det er bare meg som skjønner noe. Eller er det ikke slik? Kanskje vi er litt forsiktige med å snakke med potensielle nye leverandører. Et sted har vi lært at en selgers råd er gratis til kontrakt er skrevet, men likevel…….. Vi er redde for å snevre inn mulighetsrommet med  å henge oss opp i noe som kanskje ikke blir helt perfekt.

Møysommelig lærer vi og forstår mer. Vi beveger oss videre i prosessen. Vi blir tryggere på hvor vi vil og kanskje etterhvert litt mer åpen for å snakke med noen som kan hjelpe oss å realisere potensialet eller løse problemet. Vi er nå kommet langt på vår kundereise. Kanskje vi kan snakke konkret med noen nå?

Vi var på toppen av Pilatus 2 ganger. En gang til fots og en gang med gondolbane. Det går faktisk også tog dit. Prosjektet å komme til topps på Pilatus er dermed ikke så veldig komplisert. Men også der kan det lønne seg å vite noe både på forhånd og underveis. Hvordan? Til fots? Klatre? Gondol? Tog? Kombinasjon?Noe er dyrt: Noe er enda dyrere. Noe tar lang tid og er veldig anstrengende men gir kanskje større belønning. Er det noe som er farlig? Kanskje det ? Er fallhøyden stor? Alt dette er vurderinger vi tar på strak arm.

Dette handler om:

  • Hva vil vi? Hva er vårt behov?
  • Hvor mye penger har vi ?
  • Kan vi rett og slett bruke penger på noe og suksessen kommer?
  • Må kanskje veien være litt tung og vanskelig for å gi det beste resultat?
  • Hva med risiko og fallhøyde?

Informasjon, kommunikasjon, kreativitet og vilje til gjennomføring kreves.
